Hecksher’s Stockholm office has a new leader at the helm, and she knows a thing or two about teamwork, strategy, and a winning mentality. Meet Sarah Tibell, our newly appointed Branch Manager, whose passion for leadership extends far beyond the world of freight forwarding.
With a background as a handball player and coach, Sarah is no stranger to motivating teams, fostering growth, and creating strategies that lead to success – both on and off the court. For her, a winning mentality in logistics is all about putting the customer first, offering flexible solutions, and adapting to each client’s unique needs. With deep respect for the experience and expertise of her team, she is committed to coaching, growing, and supporting those around her to ensure Hecksher continues to thrive.
In this Q&A, we dive into Sarah’s background, what she looks forward to most in her new role and her advice for companies looking for a new logistics partner.
Can you share a bit about your background and what brought you to Hecksher?
I began my career at a small, family-owned retail business in Sigtuna, where I gained hands-on experience across the entire supply chain – from ordering and planning collections to managing the store. That sparked my interest in logistics, leading me to study freight forwarding and later work for both small- and large-scale corporations, primarily in air freight. I chose Hecksher for its people and culture – no matter who you turn to, there’s always a willingness to help.
What do you look forward to most in your new role as a Branch Manager for the Stockholm branch?
I’m excited to continue fostering the collaborative culture we have across all our offices while growing the Stockholm branch alongside my colleagues. With Hecksher expanding on multiple fronts, I look forward to building on that momentum and ensuring our solutions continue to evolve with our customers’ needs. Growth is always rewarding – whether it’s seeing the team thrive, the company expand, or the young girls I coach in handball develop as players.
What are your final top tips for companies looking for a new logistics partner?
Choose a logistics partner with experience, who handles your transport needs seamlessly, so that you can focus on growing your business. Look for the flexible partner that puts your needs first – whether you’re facing tight schedules or when things don’t go to plan, your freight forwarder should be there for you to solve your specific needs.
